Flying Dragons First Practice

May 2, 2007

Update:
(May 2, 2007) After a chilly hour on the water last night, the Flying Dragons successfully completed their first practice. Although many members were veterans from last year, the newcomers stepped up their efforts and picked up the basics very quickly. Bravo tout le monde.

After practice, the group decided on a new name. The Flying Dragons are no more. CMC Electronics will now be known as the Stormriders. Also, the team picked their t-shirt for the season. It seems that no one wanted to go for last year's bright orange but rather black and white will be the new team colours.

Again, good job everyone. À la semaine prochaine.

The docks will be in the water today. Flying Dragons, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out registration and medical forms. Parking passes will be available. Please come see me inside the club to pick one up. Until more passes are printed, I will need to get them back after each practice. Thanks and see you tonight.

Also, please dress warm. The water is still fairly cold. Long sleeves, even if the air is warm, are strongly recommended.

Paddles

Anyone interested in ordering an Apex paddle should let me know by May 3, 2007. They are a fibreglass/plastic mix. Most of you either had the chance to try one or see one at the basin last year. They are $70 each and will be available the week of May 7th. Please e-mail me directly.
